Agontimé is a feature-lenght film to be shot between Brazil and Benin, in Africa. The narrative takes place in 2018 and tells the story of the queen Agontimé, who was sold to be a slave in Brazil in the early nineteenth century. The film shows her return to Africa, exactly two centuries after arriving in the Brazilian coast. The real and the fantastic intermingle in this story which intends to relate the present time with the past to reflect the reminiscences of the slavery period here and there.
