Reenchanting the body, reenchanting cinema
with Larissa Figueiredo
Listening to yourself and looking towards the world.
In times of dismantling, isolation, illnesses and restrictions of various kinds, the invitation of this workshop is to look inside the body, its vibrations and the life that insists on persevering, even when the policy of death prevails. Waking up the body, listening to it and reenchanting it is the possible resistance in the face of a system that disdains the creative power of life. For this, this workshop, which has cinema as its basis of creation, invites other arts and other unconscious regimes to provoke its participants to produce small videos daily – such as body and audiovisual diaries – so that together we can listen to our bodies through cinema and embrace what they have to teach us about what we are feeling and experiencing in our intimacies limited by freedom.

Larissa Figueiredo é cineasta, bailarina e educadora. Estudou Letras e Cinema entre Brasília, França, Argentina e Suíça, onde teve aulas com artistas como Miguel Gomes e Apichatpong Weerasethakul. O Touro, seu primeiro longa-metragem, foi ganhador do IX Concurso de Roteiros Rucker Vieria, recebeu o Prêmio Visions Sud Est e teve sua estreia mundial no 44º Festival de Roterdã, antes de ser exibido em dezenas de festivais pelo mundo. Larissa atua como roteirista, diretora, montadora e produtora, tendo trabalho em projetos de naturezas diversas, desde curtas-metragens, exibidos em festivais, até séries de televisão para canais como HBO, Canal Brasil, Canal Curta! e CinebrasilTv. Como educadora, deu aulas e oficinas em Universidades e escolas livres de cinema, tanto no Brasil quanto no exterior, como na EICTV, em Cuba e a Calarts, nos EUA. Ela também foi coordenadora na Academia Internacional de Cinema, em São Paulo, e mediadora do projeto “Inventar com a Diferença” (2013). Integra grupos de estudo da subjetividade, entre a psicanálise e a esquizoanálise, com João Pentagna, Gabriel Binkowski, Márcio Araújo, André Martins e outros. Nas artes do corpo, é formada em ballet clássico no método vaganova pelos bailarinos russos Sergei Alexandrov e Nadjeda Alexandrova; tem formação em dança de salão; e estuda dança moderna com Dani Stasi e yoga com Danilo Patzdorf. Larissa acredita no reencantamento do mundo, como forma afetiva, política e estética de vida. Seus filmes e os projetos no qual se engaja estão enraizados nessas ideias.
