THE HOUSE

DOCUMENTARY 190′, BRAZIL

“Time was my teacher who taught me how to heal”, so sang Pai Euclides de Menezes Talabyan. After his death, in 2015, the leadership of one of the most important religious houses in Brazil, the House Fanti Ashanti, passed into the hands of Mother Kabeca de Xangô. This film follows a year of experiences in the house, its rituals, its community life. The film is crossed by the arrival of the Covid 19 pandemic and by the collective movement to renovate one of the house’s sacred spaces, in communion with nature, bringing healing to the earth and to the world.
